Sprouts Farmers Market: Next Generation Grocers
Sprouts Farmers Market satisfies our increasing desire for fresh, healthy food with the homey feel of a generation gone by
BY AMANDA BARTLEY

Next to the air we breathe, food is the most essential part of our daily lives. It provides us with nourishment, giving us the energy necessary to complete the tasks of the day.

It follows then that in order to maximize our energy, we should strive to be smart consumers. Literally and figuratively. We wouldn’t put the “cheap” gas into our Range Rovers or Mercedes would we? The same applies to the human body. We get better mileage when we opt for quality foods.

Sprouts Farmers Market, a young grocery company first founded in 2002 in Arizona, embodies this same standard. Sprouts’ motto is “Great things for a great life.” The Sprouts PR Team shared with The Circle Magazine that: “We try to provide the best products to improve the quality of life.  Farm-fresh produce, hormone-free meat and all natural products are the staple of our business.” Not only does Sprouts stand by the quality of their products, they also care about the overall health of the community.

Sprouts  provides health screenings at a low cost. They also stage nutritional lectures “to help the community embrace the ‘great things for a great life’ culture. Still, this isn’t the only way they help out the community. Sprouts obtains much of its produce from local farms because: “the quality is great and we love to support the local residents and economy.”

Sprouts effort is evident. The quality of their high ideals shows up via the products they sell: “Upon entering the store, you’ll see bins of fresh seasonal produce at incredible prices.” Beautiful red, blue, and purple berries are a great buy at Sprouts, for example. In addition, toward the front of the Claremont store, you can find just about any grain, bean, or flour located in large bins, neatly organized by name and description.

The Sprouts shopping experience is unique not only due to the products they sell but also due to the ambiance of the store. The Sprouts PR Team states, “Our low-profile shelves offer views of the entire store so you don’t feel trapped in the aisles.” The lay-out of the Claremont Sprouts emulates this “openness.” In the store, you can stand in the vitamin aisle and see the bread/bakery section at the other end. Goodbye claustrophobia! And, as a shopper, you are able to hone in on those long lost hunter-gatherer instincts and search out what products are best for you and your family with ease.

Still, you can expect nothing less from the Sprouts employees. They go “the extra mile for their customers” because every customer is considered “VIP” at Sprouts.

On behalf of the employees, the Sprouts PR Team illustrates this point: “From our friendly folks with great recipe ideas in meat and deli, our produce experts to help you pick the perfect piece of produce, and our knowledgeable folks in the vitamin department, customer service and relationships are a top priority.”

What more could we ask for from the local grocer? Sprouts does more than just sell groceries; they live by the same values that The Circle Magazine is founded upon. Sprouts PR Team states: “We try and make a difference in health and lifestyle and make a positive impact on the community and the environment.” As a health and world-conscious community, Claremont’s goals are one and the same with Sprouts. On that note, we welcome Sprouts to Claremont and look forward to seeing another store nearby in the future!
