Artist Profile:
Yamaha endorsed artists BAYADERA have been successfully touring and winning over audiences on both coasts, sparking a reputation for their high-energy live performances. The southern California based quintet regularly performs at its most reputable local clubs as well as national performances on the Rick Dees radio
show, KSCllV, lV Land with Sherman Hemsley (George Jefferson), and ImaginAsian 1V. They've played numerous festivals across the country with such acts as Sugar Ray, Berlin, The Violent Femmes, Arturo Sandoval, lito Puente, and most recently performing "Superstition" with STEVIE WONDER at the Media Access Awards (Oct. 2007).
Primarily rock based, BAYADERA combines strong grooves ala old school R&B with splashes of Latin flare and modern digital nuances. BAYADERA continues to hone their craft in their highly anticipated sophomore release- "Rotation of the Earth" (Bitemark Records Sept. 2007). Overcoming both cultural and physical barriers (guitarist Oat Nguyen is blind), BAYADERA is proving to have the inspiring talent and tireless perseverance for a lasting musical career.
